Am I miscarrying?

For many women the first sign of miscariage is bleeding? But how much bleeding is too much? When do you go to the doctor and what are some other symptoms?

Lets start off with how much bleeding is too much? My ER doctor told me if I started soaking through several pads in an hour or spiked a high fever to go to the ER right away.

Make sure to closely monitor your bleeding and wear a pad, not a tampon. A little bit of spotting is actually pretty normal and i have known many moms who have experienced spotting to a light period and delivered healthy happy baby. If you have a very heavy bright red flow this is cause for concern.Clotting is also considerd a red flag.

One of the very first symptoms that i experience with a miscariage is low back pain and period like cramping. Also sharp pains in my pelvic area is also a pretty normal symptoms.

No matter what if you suspect pregnancy loss or complications contact your health care provider right away.
